Basic 511 is the most used of our classic knives. This knife has been appreciated and loved by professionals and hobby craftsmen for generations. In other words, it’s a proper Morakniv.

The solid finger guard optimizes safety and the handle geometry makes the knife sit nice and steady in your hand. The blade is made of high quality carbon steel, manufactured in Mora according to our secret recipe. The carbon steel also makes the knife easier to re-sharpen so you can use it over and over again. However, keep in mind that carbon steel can be affected by moisture and corrosive environments so make it a habit to wipe your knife and oil the blade after using it.

The ergonomic barrel-shaped polymer handle features a sturdy finger guard and a 2.0 mm thick blade made of carbon steel, which provides both strength and stability in every cut. The polymer sheath is equipped with the Morakniv Smart Button System which means you can attach several craft knives for different purposes to each other. It also has a practical belt clip for easy attachment to your belt.
