Mini Wings

A mini wing is a small paragliding wing, typically ranging from 12m² to 20m² in surface area, compared to standard paragliders, which are usually 20m² to 30m². Mini wings are designed for higher wing loading, making them faster, more responsive, and more stable in strong winds. They are commonly used for:

  • Speed Flying – Fast, dynamic descents down steep terrain, often combined with skiing or running launches.
  • Hike & Fly – Lightweight and compact, making them ideal for mountaineers and trail runners.
  • Soaring in Strong Winds – Mini wings handle stronger wind conditions better than full-sized gliders.

Unlike speed wings, which have even smaller sizes and are built for aggressive speed flying, mini wings can still be used for paragliding-style soaring and thermaling, though they require active piloting.
