Backland 101 W

Built for female ski tourers seeking freeride adventure, the Atomic Backland 101 W is made to explore, climb and descend with commanding confidence. It shares its construction with the wider Backland 108 W, and the FreeTour Profile gives this touring ski serious downhill power.

A poplar and caruba Ultra Light Woodcore balances low weight with performance, and the three-dimensional HRZN 3D tip adds surface area for better float in deeper snow. Powder Rocker gives prominent tip and tail rocker with camber underfoot for playful handling in deep powder, crud and chop. It's a reinterpretation of the original Backland, built with more wood and less fiberglass, metal and resin to cut material-based CO2-equivalent emissions by 26% compared with the 2022 Backland 100. Developed with input from skiers like Amie Engebretson. Sold flat, without bindings.
