Copper Spur UL5

The Copper Spur scaled up to sleep five. Since 2008 it has been Big Agnes' most popular ultralight backpacking tent, and the latest version is built in their proprietary HyperBead® fabric — lighter, stronger and more waterproof than what came before, without added water-repellent chemicals.

The high-volume, freestanding architecture is what makes a five-person tent workable: generous interior room and enough stability to sleep through a rough night in the alpine, with no need to stake out the corners for a full pitch. Dual side-entry doors mean nobody climbs over anybody, and each one gets its own vestibule plus an awning-style door you can prop with trekking poles for shade or shelter.

• Rainfly and floor: HyperBead® 15D nylon with 20D solution-dyed ripstop, 1500mm waterproof rating, no intentionally added PFAS
• Tent body: breathable 15D nylon with 20D solution-dyed ripstop and 15D polyester mesh
• Poles: DAC Featherlite NFL, NSL and pressfit
• Waterproof, solvent-free polyurethane taped seams (no PVC or VOCs)
• 11 x 6" Dirt Dagger™ UL stakes included

Care

• Always store dry and free of debris; storing damp can cause mildew, which is not covered under warranty
• Sponge with warm (not hot) water for light cleaning; use a waterproof gear wash for a deeper clean
• Do not machine wash or dry clean; no bleach, detergents or fabric softener
• Hang to dry completely before storing, and avoid prolonged direct sunlight
