The Expedition Starter Kit gets you from box to water with the two things every packraft owner needs on day one: the Pack-A-Pump to inflate the boat fully, and the Basic Repair Kit for the inevitable pinhole on a gravel bar. Add your own paddle and you’re set.
The Expedition is Alpacka’s classic Alaska boat. On the 2026 Mage-derived hull it’s longer and narrower with more rocker, so it tracks better and moves quicker across lakes while staying forgiving for newer paddlers. The whitewater deck, Cargo Fly, thigh straps and foot brace come standard, so the same boat handles a week-long traverse or a few laps on your local run. Boat weight is 3.7–4.0 kg depending on size, light enough to carry for days. It isn’t recommended for bikerafting.
